POSITION TITLE: Instructional Designer/Technologist - Part Time

DEPARTMENT: Education


DESCRIPTION:

We are presently seeking an Instructional Designer/Technologist in our Education department. The successful candidate will design Internet-based training education programs and products. We are seeking a unique individual who combines instructional design with a strong knowledge of online education. If you are comfortable with learning objectives, interactions, and assessment, and understand instructional technology and usability - we would like to speak with you!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serves as instructional designer for Internet-based education products, including needs analysis, instructional strategies, assessment and evaluation.
  • Serves as designer and producer of Internet-based education products, including synchronous, asynchronous and blended learning.
  • Integrates new technologies into the Angel learning management system (LMS) and assists in support of such products.

Position Requirements:

  • Must have five years of experience in instructional design, with significant experience in online learning. Master’s degree in instructional design or instructional technology preferred.
  • Must have advanced skills in instructional design for online education, including application of online learning theory, online instructional strategies, and online assessment and evaluation.
  • Must have intermediate skills with PC-based Adobe web design and development software programs Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Flash.
  • Experience with the Angel learning management system (LMS) preferred.
  • Knowledge of audio-video editing software.
  • Knowledge of webinar software such as Microsoft Live Meeting, WebEx, Adobe Connect, or GoToMeeting.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook).
