Writing for Us May Be Right for You!
We need experienced appraisers like you to serve as authors.
Practicing appraisers have a wealth of knowledge waiting to be tapped. Consider becoming an author for the Appraisal Institute and use your professional experience to benefit yourself and your profession.
The Appraisal Institute offers four venues to showcase appraisers' talents: The Appraisal Journal, Valuation, Appraisal Institute books and Appraisal Institute seminars. The route you take will depend on the complexity of the topic you choose, the depth of your knowledge and the time you have to devote to your writing endeavor.
The Appraisal Journal
Authors of Journal articles are held in high regard by their peers. They introduce and develop new ideas that help direct the future of the profession. Since 1932, The Appraisal Journal has been the leading peer-reviewed forum for appraisal professionals. It is the most frequently referenced publication in the field and has a circulation of nearly 25,000.

Valuation
Help shape and inform the appraisal industry about legislation, technology, trends and other issues by writing for the Appraisal Institute's quarterly magazine, which reaches more than 40,000 licensed appraisers throughout the United States. If you've appraised an interesting property, tell your peers about the unique challenges you've faced and the techniques you've applied. If you've found a revolutionary new management system, let everyone benefit by contributing to Valuation.
